Hey All
My name is Jordan.. I'm 22yo from Seattle Wa.
I was watching the Today show last week and came across a story that really sat with me for whatever reason. It was about a couple who had lost their jobs, they were heading into foreclosure, and only had a few thousand left in the bank. The wife was known by her friends for her delicious low calorie bagels. So with the small amount of money they had left, they went for it. The couple put all their money into their newly found bagel business in hopes of avoiding financial ruin. Mind you they had NO BUSINESS EXPERIENCE whatsoever. It was simply a move of DESPERATION. Fast Forward 2yrs their bagel business is Booming and life as they know it couldn't be better...
At the end of the story the couple said "If we knew then what we know now we most likely wouldn't have even considered it. A little ignorance goes a long way."
This story reminded me of how dean talks about desperation being an Asset. It makes me wonder if I didn't have my parents to fall back on in times of financial need where I would be financially today??
"If we did all the things we are capable of, we would literally astound ourselves."
