The closing of your mailer

The closing of your mailer

Should typically seek to encourage the reader to take some specific action such as making a decision forwarding a reply, or correcting a problem. In many ways the closing of a letter parallels the opening. Both should be short, to the point, and specific and should be free of overused, passive phrased that do not communicate much. The call to action is critical to you mailer. It is also important to let your reader know when to take action.
