I have been investing for about 4 years now, beginning with a subject-to property in Kansas City. Prior to that I was a loan officer for 4 years, and got a real estate license I never used as an agent - but the knowledge was very valuable.
i live in Los Angeles and focus my investing efforts primarily in Southern California and the midwest as I like to stick wtih areas I know, for the time being. I was born and raised in the Chicago area and then spent 13 years in Kansas so I am comfortable investing there.
For almost 2 years I focused almost entirely on short sales and would be happy to discuss or share my experience with anyone who is interested in pursuing that niche.
My focus, however, is wholesaling and rehabbing in 2011.
