Quiet And Attractive Section of the Jinshanling Great Wall

Visiting the Great Wall was one of the main reasons for our trip to Beijing, so we were happy to commit a whole day to the journey. This is pretty much a requirement for a trip to Jinshanling as it is about 3 hours outside of Beijing by car.
We've not visited other sections of the wall, so we can't compare, but Jinshanling was not too busy by our standards (we went on a Saturday as well). It was a fairly low visibility on the day we went, but even so the wall still looked magnificent disappearing off into the mist.
We went west to the end of the walkable section and all but the very last couple of paths (between towers) were in very good condition.
With this bus tour, we did not only visit Mutianyu China Great Wall but also Ming Tombs which both located outside the downtown. So first, we had a short excursion to the suburb outside Beijing. Ming Tombs is a huge tomb complex of 13 emperors of Ming Dynasty surrounded by mountainous areas. The atmosphere inside the mausoleum complex was really peaceful and calm.
After having lunch, a section called Mutianyu which is located in Huairou County 70 kilometers northeast of Beijing. We had 2 hours and we wanted to walk along the Great Wall as long as we could. We were glad to see what a clear, relatively warm, and sunny day it was! On the bottom of the Wall, we could see lots of stalls sold some of souvenirs, Chinese unique goods, fruit, dried fruit, snacks etc.
Mutianyu Great Wall was relatively quiet at some spots, less crowded and has stunning views. Look outside the Wall, I always could see the other parts of the Wall and the ridges around. Hiking the Great Wall of China was like our proud. Finally we could able to visit the famous and magnificent Great Wall. We took many photos as we could and had some interesting talk when we slowly climb the section. Mutianyu sections stairs at times were extremely steep and slippery, one by one we took our step to the above, as far as we can.
My time in Mutianyu was memorable and priceless. Gladly we could book the tour online and easy to get, a worth trip to join. At the end, I thank you for all the staffs, guide, driver and others for arranged this short trip to me and my family. With only US$ 30, we could reach the Great Wall, excellent transportation and got delish Chinese lunch. Good time with great people! Great tour with low price.
