First entry

Well, I'm here. I've read the 30 Days to real Estate Cash Book, view the Weekly Wisdoms, and even attended a Boots on the Ground Event. Dean's theory is great, buy really low, sell low, and make money in the middle.

I got business cards, joined my local REI club, and talked to a few Realtors. I'm actually meeting one after work to discuss the market, careers in Real Estate, and various aspects of that. I'm interested in the industry, surrounding myself with like minded people, and hoping to enter soon.

I currently work fulltime in computers, and I have 2 children and a new baby. My time is limited. My income is even more limited. I want more time and money. I'm hoping I can get both via Real Estate, as a career or investment part time.

I started in computers 15 years ago, knowing nothing, and now I am easily compfortable with any technology. I'm hoping the same can occur in Real Estate. I'd like to make some additional money wholesaling, then gain capital and do fix and flips. Then continue making money fulltime doing those and maybe get my Real Estate license. After a few years I'd like to start a brokerage and fix up run down houses and sell them to good families. I also see this as a way to give my children a future, as they can takeover the brokerage when I am older. Helping the community and my family is my goal. Now I just need to get started.

Thats the hard part for me, believing in myself and the market. Most of the concepts I can grasp and believe in, but not sure about the market having enough available deals to make the money I need. And with the current "bounce" market, not really sure what that will do for retail sales, or wholesaling.
