Real Estate Agents

Well, hello everyone. I'm just sitting her going through the material after making some phone calls today to different Real Estate Agencies.

After doing this I came to a conclusion. These people are very hard to work with. Wow! Don't worry I'm not getting discouraged (I am going to do this and have a back up plan too, keep reading), I'm just going to do a little venting. Maybe someone else who is going through something similar will feel better after reading this and it will help them stay motivated. Never give up, you can do this!

It really doesn't seem like these people are interested in helping you at all and is amazing that they make any money. One Agent even had the gall to ask me if I was new. If you have that feeling, why ask? Just listen and give me the information I want. These people don't seem to be very concerned about providing customer service that's for sure. And will be why they past up making the money I will eventually make.

It seems like they want to ask the questions about you and that's not how this is suppose to work last time I checked. I want to know the hot spots, where the money is being spent, cash buyers etc. and not one could tell me yet. How could you not know that or break that down. When Dean says these people don't know what they are doing he is right. Why wouldn't you research the hot spots or try to break down where the hottest sales are? One Agent told me that there wasn't a hot spot it just depends on what the customer is looking for and what's available. She must not have many cash buyers is my guess. Maybe I'm wrong?

Anyway, it dawned on me today that I used to rent from a property manager/real estate broker that was always really nice to me. It's not often you find someone who is successful and collects rent from you that is as nice as he was. Why didn't I think to call him before? I guess because the course suggests calling Remax and Keller Williams. I don't know about anywhere else in the country, but I don't think these two companies are training there employees right here in Daytona Beach Florida. Daytona is a whole different animal thought. Smiling

So I am going to call the Realty company tomorrow and try to talk to Arthur, who is the guy that owns the company. I'm pretty sure he'll work with me or have someone that will work with me. But I'm not going to get my hopes up, although I do feel really good about it. Still trying not to get to happy yet.

So, maybe all that calling around and dealing with these Agents was a lesson and has a rhyme and a reason. Practice and getting to know what your doing I think is the key here. So it's all good.

If your calling Agents and going through the same thing, don't quit! Also know that I'm not going to quit! Just know we are all going through it and Deans top students went through it too, so you know it can be done.

OK, I feel better now and I hope that I have helped someone see that they are not alone. Keep pushing. Here is how I am going to look at it.

Have you ever had a car run out of gas and had to push it to a gas station or off to the side of the road? At first you really have to push hard and use every muscle in you body to get the car to roll, but after you get it rolling it's easy to keep it going and all you have to basically do is steer the car at that point (yes an uphill situation would be a little different, but there is the other side of the hill too).

So let's get the car rolling! Please add any comments you like. I may have got something wrong, if I did please correct me. If you want to vent too, please leave a comment and get it off your chest. It would also help others and myself see that they aren't alone.

To your success,

Jay
