Well, here's the start to my journey! I finished reading B.A.R.M. about 3 weeks ago. I must admit that things are a little slow on my end as I am currently unemployed and in search for employment. I live in the Las Vegas area, and plan to lay my roots of real estate investing within that city.
Progress that has happened in my short R.E. career:
-- Decided to get online and visit the website "www.GoSection8.com," which is a property rental website. I figured that properties listed for rent were posted by the owners themselves.
--The neat thing about GoSection8.com is that it leaves the owners personal phone number, or a number where they can be reached. So I called about 20 numbers or so, and most of them were property management companies answering on behalf of the owners, but some of them were the owners.
--I properly introduced myself on every call and explain what it is I'm doing. To my luck, there was one property owner who is looking to invest in my area and is looking to purchase properties no more than 150k, and only plans to receive 12% ROI. I thought to myself "If that's all he plans on making from each deal, imagine if I could get him 20% ROI. How much more will he want to work with me?
--This potential buyer is emailing me his property criteria and preferences as we speak. I will keep you posted DG Family....
