i've just got back from the buying summit in vegas this last weekend, and it was pretty awesome. my absolute favorite part was being surrounded by people that all believe in this the way i do, and want to make it happen. hell a lot of them were making it happen! it was very encouraging. i met several people that i hope to keep in touch with, and ran into people that i'd seen at different events as well. if anyone reading this hasn't been to a buying summit before then you need to get yourself there. its a great event for you to get up and take action. i purchased my first real estate investment this weekend, in the form of a tax lien making me 18%... pretty cool. now i'm home and trying to get my buyers list built. i'm getting antsy not having a deal done yet. so i'm going to start making bigger strides now! i've got all my to dos in order, and phone calls will be made tomorrow, and signs will be going up too. i've posted a few more ads tonight and putting some positive energy out there now that something will come from them. i have been rereading my notes from the weekend, especially the ones from sunday when stephen paul edwards spoke to us. he is so inspiring! i have 4 pages of one liners from him, and i can't seem to choose a favorite... but here are some that stick out for me:
*age is just a mindset - i tend to feel like people won't take me seriously because i'm "too young"
*something being important is not enough, it has to be imperative! - so true, i need that sense of urgency or i let things get put off until the next day
*there is a solution to every problem, you just have to look for it. - or as some say there are no problems, just challenges.
i've decided to write in this blog at least every other day about the things i'm doing to move forward. mainly for myself as a check and balances sort of thing, forces me to do something or i'll have nothing to write about. also just as a history to see what is working and what isn't.
signing off...
just getting started
