Captains Log - Entry 10

I am making progress.

I found a great deal for a four-plex in Michigan. I just need private money to obtain it. Working hard and have it locked up. I supposed even if I can't get it I might be able to pass it along to another investor.

I'm really excited. This morning I woke up and called for rent signs. Boom!! Two buyers added to the list. Called a couple of FSBO as well. At least one came out as a potential lead. All of this works. It just takes time and determination to push through the no's and the hard days. Do something a little bit every day.

Today I woke up very confident.

Many times, you don't see the monetary fruit of your labor until down the road. At the EDGE even this year, one of the speakers talked about how the average time to see the work of your hands in 30-90 days. You will, on the average, reap the benefits of work you did 30-90 days before.

I kept looking at all of the things I had not accomplished yet instead of looking at the things I have done. It's important to look forward, but many times, I forget to look back and remember all of the work that I have put into my business.

Well, it's been about a month and we keep moving forward.

I've definitely been discouraged. Been looking to create a buyers list. Also working on flipping a home with my mom. It's hard work for sure, but its also fun.

Just keep moving forward. One day at a time. One call at a time.

Well, yesterday I put up a bunch of bandit signs. I figured it was time to actually take action steps with the things that I have knows through Dean's training.

And low and behold.....

Today we have had TONS of calls! We already have three buyers on our list. I was needing tangible evidence of forward movement. And there it is. This works. You just have to move forward and take action steps.

Keep going!!!

Sometimes you hit moments of having no motivation. I know I hit that for the last few weeks. But you've got to get off of your butt if you want anything to change in your life.

So, here's to those who are getting their butts off of the couch.

Captains log - Entry 6

Today is a Saturday and I finally sat down and wrote out very specific goals. It set me ablaze to work hard toward them. Having them written down in front of me helps me see and ultimate "place" to get to until the next set of goals.

I sent in my first set of offers today. As soon as they come back, I will be able to tweak my 25:1 ratio. Excited!!

We are making progress. Visible progress.
