Does anyone have a great insurance carrier they could recommend for investment properties I own out of state? I own several duplexes in Ohio that I rehab totally and make available to first-time home buyer single Moms, but it seems with the current economy, carriers are changing policiy guidelines and what they will/won't cover.
The Hartford will only cover 1 investment property only if our primary residence is covered by them, SafeCo no longer insures investments built after 1930 (even though fully rehabbed!!). Is there a solid network of reliable carriers that I'm just not tapping into? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
