Realtor commission for assignment

Realtor commission for assignment

I see a lot of people making multiple offers through their realtor. When an offer is accepted and I plan on assigning it to an investor or retail buyer, how does my realtor get paid, since I get out of the contract?

Since a lot of realtors are not familiar with assigning a contract, when and how do I explain this to my realtor?

Realtor commission

If the property is listed on MLS, then the commission will be paid by the sellers Broker. If you are purchasing property that is not listed, then you would need to get an agreement from the seller to pay the fee, or it would be your responsibity. In all cases, the contract is written so that your Agent is representing the buyer, even it it is assigned to someone else.
