Has anyone heard anything about Wall street investment firms buying up foreclosures and trading them on the floor?
They've been doing it for a while. They first began with commercial and industrial properties, when they devoured those they went on to SFH & MFH with bulk purchases.
A shark's appetite is never satisfied!
P.S. - Everything else is immaterial, irrelevant, and unnecessary.
How do we deal with this, will this hurt our industry?
Of course it will affect the industry, but there will always be new ways to make money in RE. You will have to come up with creative ways to attract off market properties and those that the Wall Street boys don't know about.

Just do your thing we are not in there league, blackwater is buying by the thousands Ive been told witch warren buffet is involve with and we all know him.
Pick up properties pre foreclosure and your good if not they are fair game for all.

Just like everything else they eventually catch up and destroy its innocence.
Just look at health care, there was a time when doctors actually made house calls at all hours of the day and night to anyone who needed them. Then the insurance companies and drug companies took over, and American health care went to hell in a bucket.

I agree with every single post. But Like Paul Said "they are so many ways to make money in real estate"...
As long as I keep making offers on properties which are FSBO's and having them accepted and having buyers for them... I'm good.
Wall street buyers can buy all the foreclosure in the market but there properties which they are cant find because they dont have the techniques for find them such as vacant properties by bird dogs, probate deals, and etc
Lots of different opportunities we can make money in real estate.

It sounds as if they would be great contacts to have on your buyers list...
I wouldn't mind assigning contracts to them if they are buying... why not add them to our list of buyers?
Their cash is just as green as the next guys, isn't it?
