hello everyone
this is my first and ever massage here and in real estate in general so im sorry if maybe this question been asked before..
im looking to start investing in the US and to start from shortsales. my main and biggest problam is that i dont live in the US, so if i would want to close a deal with a seller i would have to come look at the house, which is not an option for me. i thought that if i would get a realestate agent he would look at the house for me, but for starters i dont know if an agent will work with someone out of the US, and second, i dont know if i can trust someone to handle such an importent investing desicion without even seeing him face to face.
any suggestions?
thanks for your time at responding

lior; Is there a reason you want to do short sales? There are laws against double-closings,ect. and they take a long complicated process to do even if you are experienced.
Andrew
I am a dual citizen from the UK. We invest for a small group over there. We are not agents, but know the hoops you have to jump through as a foreign investor. Short sales are tough and can be lengthy, but there are loads of below market value deals available, that are much easier. Pretty much you have to be a cash buyer if you are a foreign investor. There is some financing that I know of in Florida, NY or California, but we don't use it.
i want to start with short sales because im very new in the real estate buisnes and i study at the university so i dont have money to invest. what rules are there that i should be aware of?
thanks
if i would work with someone who is a US citizen (someone from this forum who is also a begginer like me), could this solve my problams?
