JV and Consulting Fee Agreements

JV and Consulting Fee Agreements

Hello Fellow Investors

Just curious but, what do you make of investors who are reluctant to sign a JV or Consulting Fee Agreement? My impression is this act or lack thereof, shows a lack of integrity. My thought is qualifying a working relationship or consulting fee with a written agreement is good for business.

Your thoughts please...

Jeff

JV and Consulting Fee Agreements

There can be a lot of reasons why an investor might not want to sign a JV and Consulting Fee Agreement. It may be that they don't fully understand what you are asking of them, or that it is for a long period of time.
In reading this, I assume this has to do with being a bird dog. What I would suggest is have them sign a non circumvent agreement once you have a deal that fits what the investor is looking for. Explain that this agreement is only for the deal you are about to show them, and that they would only pay the fee if they close on the property. I have not had a prblem with someone not wanting to sign when approaching it this way. I hope this helps.
