OfflineI just got Dean's book "30 Days to Real Estate Cash" and am just starting out in Kenosha, WI. I have a few questions.
What exactly are the Real Estate Agents suppose to do? Are they suppose to bring you buyers or properties? Do you only select one agent? I've contacted a few agents and one said that they can't really help me until I sign a contract. What is the significance of the contract? I was also talking to another agent and she said that the properties are going very fast. So when I find a really good deal, what is stopping another investor from buying the property before I can find a buyer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They often want you to sign an exclusive agreement with them. Just say you don't do that and move to another agent. They help you find buyers and properties that have been on the market for the last 90 days amongst other things, such as, contracts. Just follow the book and also read as many posts on this site as possible to better understand or clarify things.
