Here is an interesting article I found on CNNmoney. It talks about the harp (home affordable refinance program) and how there are not a lot of home owners taking advantage of it. This program was put in place to help homeowners that may be underwater on their loan take advantage of the low interest rates in a refinance of their mortgage. I have been telling freinds and family about this program with a mixed result. From what the article is sayings that is pretty normal for how the public is reacting to this program

So many people trusted and were burned. It's sad that now, if this is as good as it appears, that people aren't taking advantage.
As you can see, I am like so many. I can't help but think, "Is something going to jump out and bite me (them) later?" Unfortunately, banks and even our own government have taught us that they are not necessarily watching out for us and our good, but always trying to advance their own agendas at our expense.
