Choosing a Realtor is No Easy Task

Whether you’re buying or selling your own home, a rental property, or a commercial building, finding the right Realtor is no easy task. You will pay more out in realtor commissions on your real estate sales than just about any other item you may sell in your lifetime. For those who are looking to buy an investment property or a home. Does the realtor listen to you and understand what you’re looking for in a property? Are they sending you listings or showing you properties that meet your criteria?
Or for those who are attempting to sell a home or an investment property. Does your realtor know and understand your property characteristics and the location factors that will sell? Will your realtor represent your property in the right way as to appeal to the largest pool of potential buyers?

It’s never an easy task to hire a Realtor. Once you are locked into a contract, you never know what to expect. You can’t just hire the first nice realtor that gives you a call. Particularly when luxury real estate is at stake. Here are just a few tips for finding and hiring the right realtor for luxury real estate sales and purchases:

1.Experience: If this is a Realtor's first rodeo, forget it. Have him or her practice with someone else’s time and money, not yours.

2.Market Knowledge: This is probably the most important factor in my book and cannot be underestimated. Particularly when you’re dealing in luxury real estate. Your chosen realtor has to be extremely knowledgeable about the market.

3.Negotiation Skills: Large numbers are the same as small numbers when it comes to negotiation. A realtor who has experience and the willingness to negotiate is a valuable asset to you. ccurwick
