It really isn’t, as neither of these sites have direct access to MLS data, so the real estate community will still have the most accurate and up-to-date listing data out there.
S & P Case-Shiller Home Price Index Shows Slow Improvement
The S & P Case-Shiller Home Price Index is the most widely-watched indicator of home price movement. The index posted a 9.3 percent increase in the May monthly data year-over-year. This was down from a 10.8 percent increase in April.
Altos Says Ignore the Naysayers – Housing to Boom in 2015
Altos Research, a housing data provider, states that they are very bullish on the prospects for housing through 2015. Their data supports a 7 percent increase in home prices in 2015. This group expects growing household formation and continued low inventory to keep upward pressure on home prices.

These sites are great for FSBO's and Pre-Foreclosure houses. The info isn't always accurate, but that's what Title Company access is for. Find a house you're interested in and do a little bit of digging to see if they're worth making an offer on. My last Subject To deal came from Zillow as a FSBO.
