Hi all, just started reading 30 Days to Cash and the agencies that are recommended are Remax and Keller Williams. Well, I don't know if this is good or bad, but I happen to work freelance for a custom home builder who is a Keller Williams RE agent along with his wife, who is a top RE agent with KW who I hear did over $10MM last year. I see this as either a really good thing, or a really bad thing, but hearing how to approach them with my new RE business could potentially be touchy? Gosh, don't know how to start that conversation. Wondering if there is a conflict of interest, or if they will see this as a great partnership opportunity. Thanks for your insight!!
REAL ESTATE AGENT RELATIONSHIPS - ETHICS

Hi Darlene why dont you in a casual way just tell them about your new plans to be a REI and asks them if they would be interested in working together with you and just see what they say, I believe it would be a great fit and advantage for you all and make it a win-win for every one of you. They certainly are very serious as there results show, we never know till we ask and see the reply we get and if for some reason they may not be I would try to find out why they may not be if that comes to that, but dont even go there let them tell you what they feel, keep it simple and fun , there are many others who will and you will have some very good experiences along the way either way, just keep moving forward dont take anything personal if some one doesnt jump on the offer, there will be some for what ever there reasons will not and others who will, keep reading the book it will tell you more on that, much success, sincerely, Jim

Has anyone ever had a real estate agent tell them if they were an investor, they would have to sign an Exclusive Representation Agreement and pay a retainer? That's what I was told by an agent today. I'm not sure how to reply. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Hi April yes that does happen but you dont have to do it, they dont want anyone else working with you.You can tell them you work with a lot of different agents on deals. What may help is if you like them is that if you have any properties that you fix and flip and need a Realtor you will use them, that way they get paid twice. We run into all kinds of situations so dont let it bother you if they wont work with you just find some one who will, we deal with all kinds of people and all kinds of deals, one shoe doesnt fit all, we problem solve, be creative, much success, Jim

Thanks, Jim. Overcoming the fear of constantly feeling burdensome to people is quite a daunting task.
