One thing I always tell people is to leave a paper trail. Establish any important fact or information. Don’t leave important conversations to your future memory or the future selective memory of the people who end up suing you. Keep good notes. Keep confirming letters or memoranda on important issues and send them to the people who are involved in that. Don’t take on transactions that are outside your experience level.

Great advice! I do not worry yet about my future memory, I am more concerned about my today memory!
I am a realtor and that is such an important rule! always leave paper trials. let it be written on paper, contracts, notes, emails and even recorded. Its better safe than sorry. Make it a common practice to be organized
