I am wondering how you are legally allowed to charge a finder's fee without a license to sell homes in PA. I need some help with this. I am in the process of selling homes and I need to know the specifics of PA law on charging a finder's fee for my services. Please let me know if anyone has any information for me. Thanks for yoru help!

When doing Assignment of contract, you are not acting as an agent providing a service (commission) which will require a commission. You are finding the property and negotiating the offer in order to assign it to an end buyer for a "finders fee". In your message you said you are in the processof selling homes. Are these your homes? If you can provide a little more information it would help alot. If you are trying to sell a home (list) that isn't yours and you are charging a fee (commission) without a license, yes, it is crossing the line. Hope this helps.
