Currently the house that I'm renting has been foreclosed and the bank now owns it. I have bad credit and no money to buy the house but would like to find out some ways to own it.
I've tried asking my dad to buy it but he's paying mortgage on a home in Hawaii. I asked him to take out equity to use it to pay for the house I'm renting but he's not persuaded by that idea.
I would appreciate any ideas I could do by getting this house and some positive reasons why my dad should take out equity on his house to get this one that I'm renting.

Is that house that special. If the bank owns the house then maybe you can negotiate with them and wholesale the deal to an investor and then rent from them. You have to be more specific with what you are trying to accomplish. Is this a possible investment or you just want to live there?
