Probate questions - please help!!!

I'm just getting started with probate investing. I've read up as much as possible on the process and seem to be stuck in one spot so far. I live in Maricopa County in AZ and can't for the life of me find a site that allows me to research by the deceased persons name to find out if they owned real estate at the time of passing. I'm able to find the Notice to Creditors and I can look up any public documents by the persons name but cannot find the real estate part. Any help would be AMAZING! Oh, and I did find the Tax Assessors website but still cant get anywhere. Thanks in advance!

Probate

Hey Brandon,

Find out which court house the probate records are in. It may not be in the county courthouse. Here in Utah it's at the State courthouse. Make a couple of calls to find out, then you can call a clerk of that court and tell them what you would like. If it's available online, they love to show you how to do that, because it saves them work in the long run. Try that, and let me know how it goes!

progress

Hey ghowell, I called the County Assessors office and got some clarification. There was a search field on the site which asks for the persons last name AND street address name. The rep said I can use the last name field only, I guess I was just thrown off! Goes to show a quick phone call never hurts Smiling I also found out that luckily probate case files are available to me at 1 of 4 county courthouses, 1 of which is only 5 min away! Thanks again for the help!
