County research

Hello everyone. Just wondering if there is a place where you research the specific counties within any given state? Like economic growth, real estate information and just general stuff about the counties.
I live in Georgia (middle Ga. to be exact) and would like to have some information on different counties to perhaps invest in.

One website I really like to use is http://www.city-data.com/.
You can get quite a bit of information from that site and can look at any place you want.
