Im in the Army and in the process of refinancing my home with a VA loan and getting some cash out for investing.
My question is:
Can I start looking now while I refinance-ie. is it possible to get a new mortgage while Im currently in the middle of refinancing my current house?

How long are they telling you it will take to refi? You can always look and when you find that incredible deal, lock it up, you can always put in the contract you will provide escrow money at close of sale and set the closing date after you get your cash out, as long as you qualify under the other criteria.
