Hello DG Family,
Just caught this this morning in the New York Times--
There will be new changes to how credit is tracked. Its not jaw dropping but the things they now want to track is getting deep. It will affect many . See for yourself. Just goes to show how important it is to keep your credit report error free. Heres the NYT link

Every bit of information helps. Interesting article, but to a great extent it should be viewed in a positive light for our own good. Thanks.

Just read the article. The legal and economic ramifications of this BS are scary, at best. People with 800 scores are gonna look down their nose and say "What's the big deal? If you pay your bills like you're supposed to, you'll have nothing to fear." When Fair Isaac (FICO) allows some upstart business with a knack for privacy invasion (CoreScore) to "team up" with them and change their formulas on a whim, EVERYONE will suffer. Don't think for a second they won't.
If you read the article, CoreScore is already in FICO's brain, and this "change for the better" is pretty much a done deal already. CoreScore has already been busted by the FTC - you can just imagine how much more damage they can (and will) do before Uncle Sam puts them in their place, if he does at all.
Bottom line, this will LOWER everyone's score - no question. If you're "perfect" and can prove it, it might only go down 2-10 points. If you're "not" (90% of us aren't), it will drop by ALOT more, and your right to privacy will most likely get trampled in the process. DG Fam, make sure you read the 2nd page of this article from top to bottom to see what I mean. I'm not exaggerating here... Good night, "and GOOD LUCK."
P.S.: They don't even address how they plan to combat the newest computer crime of our generation - Identity Theft. Their silence on this subject should be enough to scare anyone who isn't already!

Duke Leto: "I'll miss the sea, but a person needs new experiences. They jar something deep inside, allowing him to grow. Without change something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken." - "Dune."
thanks Sandra....if you get a chance ck out the comments in that article as well --
it does givre folks some brain candy.

Now when I try to go back into the article again, NYT wants me to buy a subscription and log in to their website. Can't get past or around it. Is CoreScore already on to me? When Big Brother and Big Business get together, it's always for someone's good, just not ours - ask any history grad. if you don't believe me...

Dear David tkx for the reply--
No doubt this changes the game. I do like the guy who renamed it "CrookScore"
These companies have just begun to dig their heals into our lives. So we adapt
and still make moves.

I am not job hunting and my employer checks my credit report every two years. Who cares. Privacy, what is it really, when everything now they request that you do online; pay your bills, fill out job applications, do job and other surveys, purchase items at reduced cost, IRS and Income Tax returns etc. Our information in on the web daily, for every and anyone to see. Where is the privacy? We just have to monitor what we know and have and hope that it do not get in the wrong hands. Every bill I receive suggest that I pay online to avoid paper billing, well that will not happen with me, it goes in the mail. Big Brother or should I say Bad Brother is everywhere. The computers and phones on the jobs are all linked up to monitor activities, but if we sit and worry about these things we will get old and gray more sooner than we think.
