To new beginnings in San Antonio....

To new beginnings in San Antonio....

Day One....

I have started and stopped more times than I can remember. Why, because I listened to what everyone around me was whispering in my ear. I was not smart enough, I was not young enough, I didn't have enough money, didn't know enough people, wow.... the noise never stops!! This time I have no one to get in my way. Today is day one of the rest of my life. Starting with my goals and will not stop until I at least have most of it down on paper. Reading Dean's 30 Days to Real Estate Cash and determined to stay the course until I make it this time.

Day two...

The beginning of day two. Got a good start on my goals. Need to refine and expand today, but feel good about what I have so far. I can truly say that I have never been able to put goals down on paper before. Not sure why, but the words just never went from my brain to the page easily. Reading the second phase of day one through five of Dean's book 30 days to real estate cash. Spending time listening to audios and reading posts on this website seeking inspiration and confidence in my journey.

Day three.....

Onward and upward, just returned from an appointment with a seller. Reading more of Dean's book and planning stratagies. Need to find a way to get my hands on bandit signs and put out there. Posting on CL for sellers, what else?? Putting my thinking hat on and reading .

Hi Marcy

it's great that you've started your journal; it will help you stay focused and motivated.
Many investors here have also followed DG's book 30 days to cash, just like a recipe, without skipping or changing any parts of it, and have been successful!

You're not alone here, we all have been where you are now, not knowing where to start, feeling overwhelmed, but if you keep reading threads here, and learning DG's strategies, and most importantly, taking action every day, you will succeed too!

Wishing you great success,

Day Four....

Took a few days off, time to get back to it.

Plan on calling to find realtors today. The hottest part of the city is the furthest from me, but if I have several homes to look at that will make it worth the drive. Got a lead on someone looking for a starter home, will work on that this morning.

Hi Valerie

Thank you so much for the kind words. I have started and stopped so many times I can't remember them all. I hope with this journal to keep my focus on the goal and not let anything stop me. Thanks again.

Day Five....

Going to interview realtors today, need a really good one to add to my team. Been exploring putting people that can't sell with people that can't get a loan together for a finders fee. Seller holds the mortgage for awhile so the buyer can work on his credit. I guess it is like wholesale?

Day six....

I am still moving forward!! Called realtors yesterday. The first one I spoke with didn't work out. The minute she got on the phone she started telling me everything that was wrong with investors. She said we all read a book or take a class and think we can invest. I let her go on and she finally took a breath and asked if I had ever done any investing before. I told her yes, but I had just moved here from Arizona and was just looking for a realtor to work with in the area. I told her that she had just talked herself out of the position because of her negative attitude toward investors. She started trying to get back in the conversation, but I hung up on her. There are more realtors than I will ever use. She won't be one of them!
