Is It Necessary To Ask REA's for POF of their Cash Buyer Before I add Them To My List?

I took actions today on Matt Lawson's recent training and called a couple of rea's and I got an agent who was interested in working with me after I told him that we have a knack of finding good deals off market using our creating marketing technique and we would pay him 3% of the sale price as his bonus if he throws us any of this buyers that closes on it.

Here is my question: As I start calling agents to add their buyers criteria to my list, is it necessary for me to ask these agents to show me their buyers proof of funds?
