Hey everyone. I just realized I could make a journal on this site and I thought it'd be a good way to keep myself on track so I'm going for it.
"I just ordered Dean Graziosi’s “The Edge” Home Study Course.
wait… let me back up a little.
I’ve been studying and reading up on Real Estate Investing pretty intensely for the past few weeks, and have been conducting most of my research though Dean Graziosi, whose books “Be a Real Estate Millionaire” and “Profit From Real Estate Right Now” I’ve read through a couple times.

Hey guys....
Hope all is well!
Todd, definately would love to join the meeting just to gain some knowledge of how your running things and so on. Let me know what you need or instructions on what I need to do and we will see if we can make it work.
Hopefully all my noisy girls will allow me to listen in without interuption! That is a rare event but we will see.
Thanks for the kind words... I'm taking this REI one step at a time and I'm also allowing it to happen at it's own pace. Basically, I'm not rushing things, just pushing as hard as I can with the time I do have and seeing where it takes me. So far I have a few big things popping so we will see how it goes...
Please shoot me a PM with your number and / or email becuase I may want to give you a call sometime to discuss some stuff with you if wouldn't mind!
Take care ya'll!

Hey Todd....
I think they deleted your info becuase it's not supposed to be posted in the public forum. Plus if you do post it there is a great chance that the email will be used for spam and phone number will also be used for solicitors, so I would recomend never putting it out on the public threads...
Definately send that info via a PM!
Late....

Here I am!
So here's what's been going on in my life...
I just wrapped up my 4th rental deal last night, so now that my work life is rolling right along and I got about $2,500 locked up and coming my way, I have plenty with which to introduce REI into my routine and start the juggling act. The time has come and I can't and won't put it off any longer. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!
...So starting now-ish, I'll be focusing on REI (attending more meetings, reading up on more concepts, putting the probate techniques I've been learning about into action, and just generally being more proactive).
Don't worry Rob and others, I haven't given up! And like my man Alex said, "Don't get too comfortable working as a rental agent." I'm happy to report that I'm comfortable but NOT satisfied... This job is only the beginning, or gateway, to my career as an investor, so I just have to keep that in mind and stay hungry.
So for everyone reading this, my words of wisdom for the day are STAY HUNGRY!

Nicely done Steve!
I knew you weren't throwing in the towel... I just figured you were busy.
Glad to hear the rental stuff is rolling good! Just think, now you can set another goal to not have this rental job a year or two from now. I know one of my primary goals is to not be doing the CPA thing after a couple more years.
I'm already planning my retirement party which will include tons of food! lol
Take care my man,

Hey Steve,
Congrats on the rental success! I'm going to the REI group in Peabody tomorrow, and betting on seeing you there. Regardless keep moving forward!

Hey everyone, I just thought I'd update with what's been going on in my life.
So for those of you just tuning in, I recently (about 2 months ago) got my real estate license and began working as an apartment rental agent in the Boston area. Thus far, Ive completed 8 deals and so I've reached one of my first REI goals of pulling in enough cash to help me get started with the preliminary steps of investing (the expenses involved in assembling a team, searching for buyers/sellers, etc.).
I've been reading up on REI (mostly via Dean's resources) since shortly after graduating college this past spring, but have yet to take the full on plunge into investing which I hope and believe will snowball into a long and successful career. THE HARDEST PART IS THAT FIRST STEP... and so here I am.
The main thing I have to focus on is keeping myself accountable, because everything else depends on that; by everything, I mean figuring out exactly what or which strategies I am going to employ and how, building up my network of professionals, building up my buyers/sellers list, and setting/achieving specific goals within certain time frames.
Probate properties have become a fascination that I definitely want to capitalize on. One really good thing I have going for me right now is that at my job, I have access to all of the office materials necessary to get this thing going, such as free paper, ink, envelopes, stamps, and whatnot. Also, being on a "self-employed" schedule, I have tons of free time at the office to carry out these tasks. And since I'm already working as a licensed agent, I guess all the other related expenses, such as REI business cards, a web site, cell phone, and random costs would also be tax-deductible (Which reminds me, I'm finally getting some contact info for someone who can help me get on the right track in terms of handling my taxes and sorting out my expenses. Aside from that, I'm sick of just talking about it... and I'm sick of TALKING about just talking about it. I want to do it already. Rentals are bringing in decent money, but I need to think long term. This job is great and is helping me build up knowledge of the market, confidence in dealing with the people involved on a professional level, the mental capacity to organize and bring together all the different components of a deal, and is generally helping me develop a better business sense. But the whole idea of a hussle is to be well-off in the long run. And THAT'S what we're all looking for. I'm going to generate income through this job, recycle it into investing, and eventually watch my assets pile up.
Long term (or probably even in the near future), my focus is rental properties, whether residential or commercial (generally meaning over 4 units).
I find myself repeating these goals in my head and not taking any or enough action. Anyone have any suggestions, advise, or general wisdom to grace me with to help keep these goals from becoming dreams?

You are learning a valuable skill most don't get the opportunity to learn. Property management & how to use the software. You're networking with other Realtors (whether they're Sale Associates or Brokers) who may or may not be investors themselves and their connections and other professionals (Title company personnel, Lenders, etc) in the industry. How old are you? One of your goals (this only my guidance ) should be to be a successful Realtor and Investor by the age of 30. Alhamdulillah I have no doubt with your drive and attitude you will achieve this!
Now what are you going to plan for your tomorrow (future)?!
"I will NOT BE BROKE! ANYMORE!"
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent,
the Merciful.
22.He is Allah besides Whom there is no God: The Knower of the unseen and the seen; He is the Beneficent, the Merciful.
23. He is Allah besides Whom there is no God: the King, the Holy, the Author of Peace, the Granter of Security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Supreme, the Possessor of greatness. Glory be to Allah from that which they set up (with Him)!
24. He is Allah: the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner: His are the most beautiful names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares His glory: and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
I just turned 23 on the 19th, so I guess I'm relatively young in the world of Real Estate. As far as my goals for tomorrow, I think I want to complete some birddog/assignment deals, build up that seed capital, and begin investing in rental properties. I'm having a hard time getting started, but I guess I just have to take the plunge and follow through on the necessary steps. Also, I definitely hope to be a successful investor by the age of 30 (and hopefully well on the way oof getting there within the next few years.
