Hi everyone who is reading. My name is J, short for Justin D Kitts. I am 22 years young and only seeking the best for my life. I do believe keeping a journal is a positive thing to do to. I do not want to keep my eyes on an end result (fame and fortune) but, perhaps this journal will challenge me to succeed on a daily basis.
Now, I did see Deans commercial at an event I was at when everyone was eating breakfast. I simply thought this guy seems pretty sincere, or he is a better con than I've ever been. I have also been interested in real estate since I was 16 years of age. I had helped my cousin and his parents rehab a house and thought this is where the money is at. Unfortunately, I have not taken positive action to accomplish my dream in becoming rich and retired through real estate. I went to a community college and worked until now.
So, I could not pass up a free session and to get his book for free at this event. I went home and realized I also had a postcard with Dean's advertisement on it. I had that postcard for months. I had no idea who Dean was and what he was inviting me to. It was clear now that I should go to this free event. I was hungry to learn more about real estate. Somehow I did not get a book like everyone else but, I did sign up to go to the EDGE (March 26-28, 2011), near Phily. It was amazing and I learned quite a bit.
I went back home tried to put what I learned into practice. It seemed almost impossible working 12 hour days and trying to figure out how to build a buyers list (I also didn't have a computer or a car). I wanted more though, more than what they gave me at the EGDE event. So I signed up with Deans Success Academy. I learned more and had great help from the coaches. I began to build my buyers list and felt like I was getting somewhere. I was a full time tree trimmer, working a 4-4 that turned into 4am-10pm. This seemed impossible to build a list of buyers, so I just concentrated on what fed me. Although I never gave it up. I did what I could on my iPhone at work.
Fortunately, I was out late and decided to drive home with my brothers truck. I fell asleep behind the wheel due to not having any sleep for two days. I broke several bones and my spine, causing me to become disabled. This happened June 12, 2011. It has opened my eyes and I've learned to smile all the time. It's a constant struggle and at the top of priority list to get better. The reason I am fortunate is not the accident, it is the time I have acquired and the happiness. Now I am able to devote my time to my top 5: faith, wisdom, loved ones, health and real estate. Real estate is only my vehicle to gain wealth so I may concentrate on the 4 of my top 5.
I am continuing my education with the success academy and I received the Rock Bottom Blue Print August 6. This blue print is amazing! I like what Dean and Matt Larson speak on HAN. The Human Automation Network techniques and scripts have given me so much confidence. Thus far I have a restate agent and a cash buyer in Tampa FL and still looking for more buyers, August 14 2011.
My MAIN goal is to be the best I can on a daily, with Gods help and others. I did hear, from someone I can't recall the name of, that "a goal that is not written down is a dream; a goal that is written is a plan" - A Wise Guy. With that in mind I'll write some goals.
GOALS
1. to have a strong, dependable power team by the end of August 2011.
2. complete my 1st deal before the end of September 2011.
3. to depend on real estate as a steady, strong income - the beginning of October 2011.
All comments and advice is more then welcome and thanks for reading a section of my life.

Hey J
I am sorry to hear about your accident and the physical results of it. But your attitude is amazing and inspiring. Throughout life I have found that people usually only make major changes when there is major pressure on them to do so, myself included.
I am glad that you are on the road to success, and taking action. May I recommend a good book that I read recently "Do Hard Things" by Alex & Bret Harris.
I look forward to reading of your success not only in REI but in your life also.
I am not a professional but if you want to do a website, I have built a few and would be glad to help you if needed, just send me a pm.

OK. Monday, the beginning of week 3 and back to business. Sadly, the REA that I contacted has not done a thing that I've asked him. He is the owner and broker of a Remax office in Tampa, and he did like my ideas. He is just not doing things as fast as I would like. I suppose the next thing to do is see if he has any new agents in his office that he may think will work well with me. I'd hate to lose someone who is like minded so I do hope he can suggest another agent. Also, I am going to continue working on my buyers list and start the search for others for my power team.

OK. Just last week on Friday (8/26) I was about to do some searching for another REA. Instead, I thought about hiring some bird dogs (I refer to them as assistant). How I went about it was simple, I posted an ad on craigslist "In Need Of An Assistant." I posted this in the Tampa Bay area. I just stated that I am a REI and was in need of an assistant and the job was commission based. I couldn't believe as to how many experienced and non experienced people responded. I had REAs email me resumes and many other txting about the position. So after calling so many and narrowing it all down, I finally picked four assistant. Two of those assistant are calling me daily and constantly sending me leads.
With all of these leads, my number one goal is to get more cash buyers. I have one so far. My priority of this week (8/30-9/3) is to call and add as many cash buyers to my list as possible. Number two on this list to add another agent and make offers.
The best of luck to everyone else out there!
