As we prepare for the upcoming Superbowl (I had a ball with my grandsons at the NFL experience last night) I can't help but wonder if investors still view our city as a good place to invest. Yes, New Orleans is the center of attention right now with the Superbowl just days away. But, do investors really know we have houses priced at 1980s prices. And the rents (they haven't dropped in years) have the potential to generate great cashflows for investors. I know, many cities have similar situations, but believe me the rents here far outpace the asking prices several times over. As a broker and investors of 30+ years, I just want to call investors attention to the many opportunities New Orleans has to offer besides partying, the Superbowl and Mardi Gras. Consider New Orleans, we are making a huge coming back and the investing climate couldn't be better.

Walt-
I first joined back in 1984 and have been a member off and on over the years. Considering rejoining this year. I am local realtor and investor and I've gone to Mississippi on several occassions to investigate deals but never purchase. However, I've done deals in Texas and Ohio (with a friend out there). Hope you'll still consider New Orleans and I definitely would like to begin picking up some good deals in Mississippi.
