I'm a new Real Estate Investor extremely interested in properties in the Houston area. However, I've had difficulty finding reliable real estate agents who are experienced in working with real estate investors. Can any fellow investors recommend some serious real estate agents who'd be interested in working with me in locating primarily residential properties (but also commercial properties) to flip, flip and hold, rent/lease and sell? Any pointers or advice in general in locating experienced real estate agents to work with investors in Houston as well as in other parts of the country? I'm very eager to jump in and start acquiring properties.
Thanks,
ZeeJaa
Have been looking for the same in Los Angeles.
Real estate agents are flaky at best. Their only desire is to make quick sales without effort. Dealing with investors takes time and effort. They must do research and submit multiple low ball offers. Very few, if any, are willing to do such strenuous work, and why should they? After all, they're getting paid on a percentage of the selling price. The investor's low ball offer only translates into a lower commission. Unless you can close 5 deals every month, there is little to no incentive for the agent to bother with investor types.
Somethings just can not be explained away. Reality will eventually win over. I suggest you go out and find your own properties. Cold calls and all.
P.S. - Everything else is immaterial, irrelevant, and unnecessary.
