"Mentor Wanted" Central Fl. Area

Hello all, I`m a "NEW-BEE" with DG living in central Fl, awaiting my book. I sit around waiting for a USPS or UPS truck to pull over in front of my home;anxiously.
Meanwhile searching sites to gain info that will guide me as a beginner and help me avoid those "beginner common mistakes".
I do know a little about RE in my area of Fl. That being Osceola & Orange counties.I am hopeful to find a local mentor or 2 that are experienced in the RE dealings & common practices ( rules)in these areas. I need to follow to get off to a fast paced start as i am NO pity case but hopeful for a little guidance.
I`m an older, educated out of work & large funds;plenty of time that I have decided to dedicate towards RE; it being my decision of becoming my #1 financial support within the rest of my life and finally become financially independent and secured for the first time and forever.I know i can, i`ve seen & lived dreams but realize that I am NOT that overly knowledgeable that i cannot use assistance by those who have already faced the issues, problems $ benefits I am preparing to endure.
