Legalities of Locator/referral and/or contact fee

Hello,

I'm curious to know the legalities in California for a Locator/referral and/or contact fee (as stated on the Bird Dog Agreement contract). I have an agreement contract (not filled out yet).

I understand its illegal for a finder's fee for some states.
