3 Day Norfolk Va

Hello Everyone, its Mike in Charlottesville Va. Attended the 3 day Norfolk and had a nice time meeting other members/investors during our breaks. It was interesting to find out what different goals others had in mind. I'm sure everyone walked away with alot of new info. Just checking in to see what everyone is doing and their thoughts /comments. Since we are ALL in Va....strength is in numbers...I thought this post would enable us as a group in Va to network easier. I had contacted the administrator of the DG to ask if it would be possible to group our DG Family members by states to simplify locating each other within our own area. I recieved an email back stating it was a good suggestion and they would check in to it. So..LETS GO

I live in Reston, but I'm looking now at REO's and HUD homes throughout Virginia for temporary rentals until the market recovers. Your idea is great because I could use some help or a partner in those more distant areas.

Thank you for the reply, I had attended the 3 day in Norfolk with a friend who is just starting. I guess no one from there has made it this far yet.
I would be interested in talking with you. My interest is wholesale, reo, foreclosures and probate. I have bargain properties and land available.

Question

Hi Eugene,

I am just starting out trying to do assignments here in VA. I've heard you must be creative to get your money before closing. Have you had any trouble assigning contracts on properties here in our area? Also, how do you handle getting paid (if I may ask)?

Also, I have a deal I am checking out on a property close to Front Royal that you may be interested in purchasing, the investor who owns it now, needs cash. I'm not sure about the FMV - do you use the TotalView # for the FMV or the tax assessment? I don't want a deal that's not a real deal.

This would be my first deal, if you could help me through it we could work out something that could benefit both of us - possibly a 50/50 split? What do you think?
