In February, Realtors® sold 852 homes in Salt Lake County. That’s down 1 percent compared to 863 home sales in February 2013.
Home prices climbed once again in February, marking 23 consecutive months of rising prices (year-over-year). The median home price in Salt Lake County in February increased to $228,000, up 7 percent compared to $213,000 in February 2013. Since April 2012, home prices in the Salt Lake area have increased every month year-over-year. Neighboring Davis County saw its median home price in February increase 6 percent to $204,000.
Pending sales in Salt Lake County in February increased to 1,075 contracts, up 5 percent compared to the same month last year. The inventory of homes for sale in the Salt Lake area increased to 4,636 listings, up 7 percent compared to 4,333 a year ago.
