Business cards

Remember you are creating a mini billboard. In fact before you start designing your business card drive around and look at billboards and see what gets your attention
• Color: See what catches your eye see what color against other colors catch you attention quickly. What did they use for background? What did they use for the lettering?
• Headline: The one line that will grab attention and keep them reading.
• Message: What can you do for someone?
• Texture: Either a matt finish or a slick shiny finish
• Front Side and Back side use both sides of the card

Investor Basics

1. Be proactive, ask questions, and be nosy. You just never know what kind of information you’ll find by asking.
2. Become a R/E detective. Handle each property just like a case. Find out as much information about the property that you can. You have to have information to make a good decision.
3. Schedule 8-10 hours a week at least for real estate. Make no mistake, if you are to be successful to any degree in real estate, you’ve got to put the time into it.
4. Make at least 1 to 2 offers in the few weeks. This is one task that will make you money
5. Look for distressed owners or properties. When you have a distressed property owner it’s usually because of the three D’s death, divorce or disaster. Anything that prevents the owner from keeping the property up is good for you as a buyer.
6. Decent neighborhoods. Be sure to invest in neighborhoods where first time homeowners would want to buy.
7. Insert safety clause. It’s always a good idea to insert a safety clause so you can get out of the property. Example This offer is subject to inspection or approval of financial partner.

Performance Goals

In order to succeed in real estate, follow these weekly performance goals.
This is written 4-5-3-2-2/4 What this means in English is:
4: For the next four weeks.
5: Talk to 5 property owners each week
3: Ask 3 question why is the property for sale? How did they arrive at the price? What condition is the property in?
2: Get inside at least 2 properties each week.
2/4: Write two to four offers in the first four weeks

Good Advice

When I looked at your post on business cards I decided that the address section of my card would be used for advertising.

I came up with a company statement, and three oneliners, included the toll free number and webaddress. The back is white to add a note.

In the past I have handwritten "Thank-you!" on my cards when I worked for other companies. I would hand them to a cashier with the thank-you side up. Around the holidays would attach a small candy cane, write "Happy Holiday!" and pass them out to anyone I met.

People remember the unusual and do read the flipside of the card with your infrmation on it.

Thanks for all of the other information you posted.
