Finding a mentor or a coach

Finding a mentor or a coach

As in life, it is helpful if someone will take you under his or her wing and help you out. Many people peak well below their potential because they never thoroughly learned the fundamentals of the real estate business. So get a good mentor
How do you find a good mentor? The best and surest way to succeed is to learn from someone who is successful. When selecting a mentor, ask yoursel: Is he or she making money? Does he or she have a good reputation? Does he or she do a lot of business? Does he or she have a reputation for honesty? Be aware that the top producers resist taking on neophytes because they gain little from the relationship. Or Dean has a whole team of coaches or mentor that are out there doing there own busisness you can look into

I don't trust them

Well it's not as bad as it sounds, but I generally wouldn't trust a total complete stranger who is a successful real estate agent.
- Why?
Well, I'd like to keep my reasons with me, but let me put it this way to answer the question plainly. Would you give out your knowledge for a student of yours? No matter the substantial substitute you are getting for it, are you willing to share your life's knowledge and pass it along like a mentor?

YES is the answer David

We would give out what we know to others. You can't take it with you to the ground so why would you not do that. I have been a mentor for some time now and the rewards that you get from seeing someone hit their goals is more than you could ever earn. It is not about money because mentors that are true mentors are doing deals and learning all the time. They can make tons more money doing deals than students so look at the big picture here. Keith

like that

Thanks Keith, never seen a U haul behind a Hearse, sharing is a wonderful and rewarding thing to do, with many blessings when done right, giving never hurt anyone.Giving unto others and mentoring is priceless!!!!!!!, much success,Jim

As it is often said when the student is ready the teacher will appear.....

Do you honestly think a successful real estate investor wod not be able to spot the difference between an unsure person and a person with potential?

Your character will speak volumes for you even if you try to hide it in your personality ....

This creates the " no one would help me mentality" wrong. The right people will help you if you are true to your goals, have strong self discipline and know it takes time to master like any art.....

Real estate investing is no different,

Joel

Look at Malcolm glad wells piece in his book "OUTLIER" and the 10,000 hour rule
