Take a look at your life and move forward

I have a life; it’s unique, it’s mine, and it can be looked at any way I choose. And so do you. And yes, my lows have been low and my highs have been high as is the case for most of us. Though are we really being intentional about what we are creating in our lives. But what do you really want and who is leading your life? At the end of the day, were you proud of how you spent your time, your energy, your aliveness? We need to learn how to be an authentic leader in our own lives. Norman Vincent Peale was way more than right about the idea that “thoughts create things.” They do far more than that-they create everything in our world. We must accept “things: for what they are before we can change them.
Then take a look at what you are choosing. What are you doing? Who is making decisions for you? Why do you do as a person? How are you getting your information? From television, the Internet? Information is coming in, whether we want it or not! Brainwashing came early and probable without ill intent. Your mom wanted this, your dad wanted that, your teachers led you this way, your church cajoled you that way, and the television. The question is are you being true to who you really are or have you ever thought to ask the question? Who am I and what do I really want?
It is our job to become more conscious of why we do what we do and to acknowledge not just what we think, but first, what we feel in our hearts.
We need to write our own lives. Living from intention and with passion! How aware are you of who are? How open are you to exploring what really makes you thrive, feel alive, and want to get up in the morning for. And how much responsibility do you take for making it happen yourself? How much of your personal power do you give away at every turn? Watch your attitudes and expressions. Like cattle, many of us are just following the herd and have known that we could have a choice but have let the damaging voices of “can’t , won’t , shouldn’t drown out our “what ifs-our possibility thinking. But we can! The wonderful thing about change is it’s never too late and it is our only constant in life. Your life is a stage and you are the character in a play. You can write your life before you live it. So how do you want to write your life and what supporting cast do you need to make it happen? Just figure out where you want to go and listen for clues. You need some patience and stamina along with a healthy dose of possibility thinking and the ability to risk a little to get a lot!
We need to begin simply to notice our life, our choices, and our reactions. You still have the opportunity to change your life and begin creating what you want for yourself

Wow

Thank you, Sherry. Sometimes we need a swift kick in the pants, and that made me realize everything we do effects us in in one way or another, whether it be good or bad. At the the end of the day you feel guilty because you know you didn't do your best, or you could've done a little more, and it makes sense.

Very inspiring!

Thank you Coach Sherry! This couldn't have come at a better time! I needed this. I just printed this out and have on my inspiration board. I have quotes and phrases from Rev. Peale as well. I love his work. And yours. You always have excellent posts and advice. Thank you.

Rachael
