My other business is design. I did a whole post on finishes from Home Depot and Lowes last year on this site. I can find it if you like/ I also did some color boards, I think, that I can send to you.
As far as costs, I base my design on $85 - $125 p/h for residential and commercial jobs. A flat fee is what you need, but most importantly you amy only be needing a template if you're planning on doing doing basic rehabs. The material I prepared for DG-ers will serve just fine for that.
If you are doing higher-end or custom, you may want a designer and if you do use one, bring them in immediately; it is much easier for a designer to be involved before any plans are done.
Again, don't hesitate to call on me.
Tina

I studied interior design as well. Where is your link for that information. I think I am a little rusty as I have never actually worked in the field yet!
if you're trying to get ideas for your flips, go to open houses that have been staged; many realtors use professional stagers.
If you're just trying to get paint colors, some small paint shops, i.e. Benjamin Moore, have paint consultants available for free on certain days.. or you can just ask the people that mix the paints for customers, they will tell you what the trend is...
