Hi all,

I just wanted to chime in for all you newbees that are having a hard time getting started. I have been studying realestate investing for about 5 years now and got Deans ROCK BOTTOM BLUEPRINT this last spring after I got laied off after 9 years with the company. But even after going through the corse, and got a realtor, who is great by the way, I still could not get myself to make the calls to find buyers.I made a list of landlords in the area and I would pick up the phone but I could not get myself to dile the number. I did this every day for about a week but I still could not do it, as soon as I would pick up the phone this fear would come over me and I would get fisicly sick. I then realized what was wrong. When I had the phone in my hand I would be looking at this list of about 20 numbers to call and I got overwhelmed. I thought about it and came up with a solution. I would commit to make just one call a day untill it got easyer. I am glad to say it worked. I haven't got a buyer yet but I am on my 4th day and I have two contractors on my team, and I am going to go look at an apartment building next week. So if fear is holding you back , brake it down into bitesized peises you can handle.

with knowledge + action

use your info forms when calling buyers/sellers to gather the info needed, the forms make the process easier and ensure you get all needed info,just relax and be nice and thank them for their time

you should also role play with family or friends to increase your comfort zone

Gotta just do it !!
Sent out 19 letters bout a week ago (cash sales in last 90 days),and not one single response yet... so dissappointed, thought I'd get @ least 1 or 2.
Gotta get those buyers !

just keep going. you'll get more relaxed the more you do it. i named my journal "no longer scared to succeed" rob clays' journal, but in truth i was still just as scared. early in my journal i had this guy post in my journal who said the same thing to me i'm about to tell you. your on this site for a reason and what he told me was he figured out he was more scared of staying the same. his name was matt larson. i'm a relatively inexperienced person, but when someone with more experience gives you advise you should listen, i know i did. i'm never looking back now except to remain scared of staying the same.

I sure hope so, had given up on those responses.
Have no fear, I will not quit !Thanks so much for the encouragement, and especially for relaying what Matt Larsen said to you, how true. I want so much
more for myself and my family, and I don't want to stay the same...i know how to get it.....now I just gotta "do it, and do it, and do it" till it happens !

Great piece of advice

I also had fear, but I did it, and I realized that after only a call or two I was okay. I still have fear about different scenarios, but still plugging away as you say a little at a time. Mike is right. The forms will keep you on track; I always had them on hand or told the person I would call them back when I got to my office, so that I could ask the right questions and get all the info the first time without bumbling around.
