I got a property under contract last week. I have someone marketing it for me online. He texts and emails me tonight saying he has a buyer who wants to buy this property ASAP! I get the contact info for the buyer.....would you believe that it is the seller??? WTH? This was my first deal, and this happens....my balloon is deflated. Frustrated, aggravated! Anyone ever have this happen to them?

It should not matter. Perhaps they're looking to reinvest. Why are you so upset? You have it under contract don't you?

he said he didn't realize it was the same property. He's not going to pay me more for something he already owns...
I'm sure he does not want to purchase his own property. In any case, you have a contract and you can sell it for whatever you want. He will receive what he agreed to get from you.

Obviously some people aren't reading your post correctly. That is VERY strange that the seller is looking to buy a property very similar to the one he is selling. Maybe it means your marketing guy is doing a great job at writing descriptions.
But hey, a buyer may surface. Have hope, don't give up and press on until you finish the race Paul.
