“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” –Henry David Thoreau
I am a big quote guy. I love the motivation I receive from reading encouraging words.
What do you think is the most important word in this quote? At first glance I thought the most important word was “confidently” however, after further thought the most important word is “Go”. We can’t accomplish anything if we don’t take action. Confidence will build only AFTER we take action.
I remember the first call I took from a cash buyer that called on my bandit signs. I was so nervous and I know they could probably hear it in my voice. However, the second call I was more confident, by the 20th call, that first weekend of fielding calls, I was completely comfortable in what to say and how to handle the call. This only came AFTER I took action by answering my phone. The confidence will come with time and in my experience it can come quickly.
The thing we need to focus on when we are starting out and when we are stuck in a rut is to get moving. Remember, NOTHING will happen unless you take action.
So…
“GO confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.”
Agreed!
"Nothing happens until something MOVES!" - I believe that quote was from Robert Ringer
