When Finding A Realtor
February 26th, 2014 | posted by waidef
In Dean's latest book, he talks about finding a Realtor. He says for us to call Real Estate offices and ask or there any Agents there that works with Investors. My question is, will those Real Estate offices have a problem with Investors calling their employees offering them work? If so , how do you overcome that?
What role does the Realtor play in the wholesaling process since I(Investor) will be playing the Middle Man between the buyer and seller?

As I'm totally new at the REI, please be patient with me and here goes
I've been reading about qualifying a realtor and Matt Larsen's video on wholesaling has some great tips on what and what not to say to a realtor during the qualifying process.
What is the best way to approach realtors during qualifying?
Do I tell them what I want to do or skirt the issue and tell them basically I'll be doing several deals and leave it at that?
I'm a very honest and transparent person so if an experienced REA hits me with the question of wholesaling..............how should I respond? I have come across realtors that figure out what I'm trying to achieve and they just flat out say they're not interested in working in that manner. Almost becoming discouraging

more work means more money for the agent as well as the broker. Investors are just another way agents can make money! Call around and remember that Keller Williams and I believe it was remax tend to be the more investor friendly offices, and some of them are investors too, but that doesn't mean other offices are not friendly, so call them all!

I've finished the book (30 Days to Real Estate Cash), but I still don't feel like I know enough to call and talk to "real estate professionals". I feel that I need mentoring/coaching. But until I can afford that (Success Academy), I guess the only way to overcome my fears is to just get out there and just do it huh? So the Real Estate Agent is 1st thing so that they can retrieve a list of recent Cash Buyers in the area huh? So that I can start building a "buyers list", since Wholesaling will be my initial strategy due to Lack Of Funds.
Thanks in advance for response.
I think you might have a slight misunderstanding with REA's. I am by far NOT an expert, In fact I'm a new investor trying to build a cash buyers list myself.
If I understand your thinking.............REA's do not find your cash buyers, that is your task to seek and secure. There is a lot of guidance on this site to assist you with seeking cash buyers but again, I am the furthest thing from an expert.
Perhaps someone with more experience will weigh in on this thread.

I was referring to the part of the book where Dean states "Tell the real estate agent that you'd like a list of the names of all of the cash buyers of real estate within the last 90 days". He mentions other ways to find Buyers, this was just the 1st one that he mention.
I appreciate your reply. I'm absorbing all the info I can. Just trying to get STARTED!

Real estate offices will not care one bit about you calling and asking for an agent that works with investors. An agents job is to gather leads. They will look at you as just another lead.
As far as helping you in your wholesaling business...they will help locate potential deal on the MLS.
A good real estate agent is worth their weight in gold.
Follow Matt Larson advice and you will find a good one.
