the homes are said to be down about 26%, but still good areas are selling at or just below market value, sometimes even more than asking price. When I tried to rent a home when I first moved here, before I purchased my home, there were no rental homes, now they are everywhere and in every neighborhood. I had never lived anywhere where you couldn't find a nice rental home.

Many homes are sitting on the market still and having a tough time selling, especially in some higher end areas, however investor are buying these still. Buy and hold is the best for these homes and should recover within two years. There are many foreclosures in the high end neigborhoods as well.
