I bought your book and the reason for this purchase was because I was in the business, I was buying foreclosure lists and buying homes in my area. This was mainly to flip them and create a second income Thus, providing me with that extra money to utilize any way I felt.
So, why YOUR book? Because people in real estate, “Realtors”, did not buy or flip houses and thought; what I was doing was illegal.
When I read YOUR book, I was encouraged and bought my neighbors house, took down both our house and neighbors and built three half a millions dollar homes. Then I sold off two of them and retained one for our family to live in!
However like YOUR saying; now, there is a time to buy and a time to hold off. I felt for the last few years for me, it was time to hold off. But NOW; I agree with YOU, its time to buy. To help you understand why, go to your public library and rent movies on the great depression and the year 1929. It was great years for the millionaires. The year more millionaires were born was 1935. Look to the past to learn what not to live in!
Proverbs: 23:7 “ For as he thinkth in his heart, so is he”. And Proverbs: 4: 23 ‘Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life’. As YOU were referencing in the book, “Think and Grow Rich”, it is summed up in these two Proverbs. If you think about nothing you become No-Thing. If you can not thing of something, then you can NOT become anything!
The reason I am writing this is that I have and always liked having a master mind group, YOU called the group “Power Peers”. I like that term, because you work good with your peers!
I still have a Power Group connection; we are on the South Suburbs of Chicago. The group is made up of Realtors, Bankers, Title Companies, Surveyors, Appraisers and Investors. This group consisting of Spanish, Arabic, Polish and Black. It is a diverse group across all the various nationalities, all at the top of their game and been in this business for over a number of years (various Markets)!
I personally like to find great deals and “Wholesale them off to great strong buyers.”. I know how to research properties and sellers to put together great deals. I have just set my 25 year old son up with the house of his dreams! He thought he could not afford it because his friends continually saying you can’t have that; even though his dad and mom have been in this business for twenty years! My wife owns her own business as a mortgage modifier and doesn’t get paid in full; until the loan is modified. That is how your peers can hurt you or help you. Know your surroundings and the influence of your circle of friends, and families.
