OfflineLos Angeles native whos always been interested in Real Estate - I moved to Las Vegas about 5 years ago with the intention of getting into Real Estate. Found a Rent to own good deal(so I thought) and moved into a 4 bedroom home with the intention to buy, paid rent for 6 months(50% goes to down payment) and when the paperwork finally arrived decided not to buy, house payment would have been over $2200 a month which I couldn't afford.
Got busy with work (Restaurant General Manager) and my Real Estate dreams fell onto the back burner. After 2 years, another Rent to Own deal popped up and I decided to give it another go, gave them $4000 as a down payment on a 2 bedroom condo($171,000) and signed a 2 year lease with a monthly $250 going towards down payment. Real Estate mess spirals out of control in Las vegas - 2 years later the property value fell to $69,000, I signed for $171,000 and had to re apply for $69,000 - didn't qualify. Recently checked the property, now valued at $45,000.
So to make the story short, Its all about knowledge, If I would have known what I've recently learned from this book, I would have made different decisions. So let the Journey began.
