What is a good economical security system to use when rehabbing a home?
The goal is to keep property up to 120 days.

I know that there are alarm companies that will install for free, but they usually require a year contract. In the Inland Empire how much would they charge?

How about the "Do it yourself" Wireless systems on eBay? Are they sufficient?

How about installing security signs, and stickers on windows? Would that help deter potential bandits?

Also night lights on timers.

Any other suggestions and or advice on what to do to secure home as much as possible and be as economical as possible would be appreciated?
