Wow, I can't believe 6 days have gone by and I haven't posted/ blogged.
A lot has been happening in these past 6 days. I have been working feverishly on doing my inventory and yearend bookkeeping for my lure biz while meeting with local investors, doing property searches, doing area searches, marketing for buyers for my house under contract, posting to some threads, reading new entries to my bookmarked threads, answering PMs and emails, just to mention a few things I've been doing.
I spent the past 2 days lining up another investor with a fellow DGer for finder's fees only to find out that the investor/buyer may be full of crap. (Note to fellow DGers: Be honest! Don't bullsh*t your way to the top because there will be a lot of manure you'll have to dig out of when you fall!) The good news is that I do have more opportunities for my existing buyers through this new connection. I'll also be sending a lead to another DGer tomorrow. Hopefully he can do something with it. (Note to DGers: NETWORKING WORKS!!! Do it!!!!!)
Today, I got a call from someone who saw my bandit sign a while back. (Note to DGers: I haven't put out a new sign in over 2 months so this person held on to my number for at least that long! Bandit signs, USE THEM!!!) The bad news is that I probably won't be able to do anything with their property but look how effective my signs must have been.
Finally, I've been tired. I know that there is a lot of prep work into making RE a viable money source. In order for me to make the time to do that, I've had to cut back on some other things, Blogging for one thing. So if you don't see me for a few days, know that I am plugging away, working my butt off trying to make this work because the lure biz is killing me. It's almost like a cigarette, you love what it feels like when your smoking it but it's secretly killing you. If you don't stop intentionally, it will stop you permanently. That's my lure biz in a nutshell. It's been my baby for over 22 years but it hasn't fulfilled it's financial goals for many years now. It fulfills my other needs but keeps me from moving forward. I'm too old for that to keep happening.
Anybody want to buy a Fishing Lure Biz? It's a great second job if you have the right people in place.
That's it for now.
Till next time...
