12/19/11

I know it's been a few days since I posted so I'll try to catch you all up.

Spent 12/15 & 12/16 busting hump and getting my order done. Spent little time on the 'puter but did manage to read a few posts and answered my mail and PMs.
The house we got under contract turned out to be a dud but in the interum, the buyer put in a bid on another house we offered. I guess there are no slam dunks until you get up from the closing table!
(Note to self: Slam dunks are for basketball not RE investing. Stop using that term!!!)

12/17- Went to Miami to deliver. The drive is taking it's toll on me more and more as I age (lol) and I make more rest stops each trip I make. The good news was that I was able to have dinner with a friend I've had for almost 30 years who is also an investor. We couldn't meet until 9PM but stayed at the restaurant until almost midnight. I was explaining what we do here at DG and he wants in. The problem is he owns a business that takes so much of his time and energy (like me) that he doesn't know how to fit it in. I explained how if he took his investing to another level the DG way, it would give him back his time. I guess time will tell if he comes around. You never know with this guy. Since I didn't get back on the road until about 12:30 am, I didn't make it home until almost 4 am. Which brings me to...

12/18- SLEPT!!!!!!! for a few hours. Was able to do a little research and reading on DG.com but otherwise was worthless from fatigue.

12/19: Spent most of my day suffering with a monster headache. Strong pain pills knocked me out for a good portion of the day. When I was awake, I was online researching properties and sending out PMs and emails and posting to a few threads. Couldn't muster up the energy to leave the house to go anywhere which was a problem. I was supposed to look at an investment house today. Will be trying to make up for that tomorrow. I hated to miss this but I'm thinking this is going to be more of a learning experience than a sale so I can put health before learning.

Still waiting on a word about the CO house bid. Good thing I'm patient Smiling (you have to be to be a fisherman Eye-wink )

So it's almost 12/20 so I'm going to close. Y'all are pretty much caught up.

Till next time...
